Andy Kyriacou

In 1981 after a chance meeting, Andy, at the time a drummer, joined Modern Romance, a band with (unknown to him) two flop singles under their belts! Within 8 weeks of joining them Modern Romance had charted with Everybody Salsa, their first hit single. Andy toured the UK, Europe and the Far East with Modern Romance, picking up Gold Discs for tracks and albums released in several territories including Japan, Venezuela and of course, the UK.

Andy left the band in 1985 to pursue other music ventures, but following the success of the first Shrek movie which featured Best Years of Our Lives on the soundtrack, Andy felt it was time to unleash the unique Modern Romance sound to a new generation. He relaunched the band in 2001, this time as lead singer, and the band have since toured extensively all over the world.

Peter J. Pinto

Pete grew up immersed in music, playing with his brother and sister in their parent's dance band. Whilst running his commercial studio he hooked up with Modern Romance as guitarist and has since become Musical Director for the band too. A keen Jazz and Blues musician, he has played at Ronnie Scotts, and performed in venues from Scotland to Singapore. He has written and produced for various other artists, including Procul Harum, Daniel Walker, The Streets, and the Latch. He is actively involved in the writing and production of the Modern Romance album currently being recorded. Peter is endorsed by Floyd Rose guitars, and the legendary Marshall Amplification.

Chris "Spider Man" Webb

Other than a bass player for Modern Romance Chris can be described as" the dream session bassist". During his young career he has played with The Sugababes, Pixie Lott, Taio Cruz, The Drifters, Kele Le Roc, Dennis Rollins, and Alex Holland to name but a few. The baby of the band (born in 1988!) he has already been "romanced" by several instrument makers to endorse their products - a clear acknowledgement of the talent of one so young.

Kevin Sutherland

Kevin is the original Funkateer! A gifted musician, his main instrument is the piano and keyboard. Although Kevin originally met Andy 15 years ago, when the opportunity eventually arose he did not hestitate to join Modern Romance.
Kevin is also Musical Director and keyboard player for Lemar and the legendary Heatwave. He is a sought after session musician and has toured the world with many major artists including Basement Jaxx, Craig David, Beverly Knight, Rose Royce and Eternal.

Matt Earnshaw

Matt completed his studies at Drumtech and the London College of Music.He has performed all over the world with an eclectic range of artists and has become the drummer of choice with Modern Romance. Matt has appeared on recordings with many varied artists such as Roy Ayers, Jocelyn Brown, Kenny Thomas, Raie, Kevin Mark Trail and Victoria Lagerstrom.

Nicola Poustie

Nicola began singing at the age of 11 in festivals and musicals and by the age of 14, was in the girl band Akapella Blue. In 2003 she hooked up with dance producers, Jim Sullivan & Scott Attrill. As dance act Kontact, they reached No.19 in the UK top 40 with "Show Me A Sign". Nicola joined Modern Romance in 2008, a move which has taken her all over the world, but she still acts a a session vocalist for The Wideboys & Majestic MC.
